BYD (Build Your Dreams) is one of the fastest-growing automakers in the world, focusing primarily on electric and hybrid vehicles. With sales set to exceed 4 million vehicles by 2024, the Chinese company has solidified its position as Tesla's main competitor worldwide.
BYD's entry into the European market has caused a stir, as it offers electric cars with an excellent quality-price ratio. European companies, such as VolkswagenThe BMW and Mercedes-Benz, are reviewing their strategies, reducing production costs and adjusting their pricing policy, to compete with it. BYD, with its large production capacity and its own supply chain for batteries, has an advantage over European manufacturers, which often depend on external suppliers. This means it can offer competitive products without compromising quality, which forces traditional brands to follow similar practices or risk losing market share.

In the Greek market, BYD made its official debut in March 2024. The model range includes the all-electric Dolphin, which has already won the favor of consumers due to its excellent price/quality ratio. In addition, the electric panel van ETP3 has achieved significant success, with over 100 vehicles circulating on Greek roads, mainly serving the courier sector. Its presence in Greece is expected to strengthen the adoption of electromobility, with charging infrastructure, as more consumers consider purchasing electric vehicles.
